Places are still available for the next run, which will be in Oxford on the following dates: Friday 29 September 2006 Tuesday 3 October 2006 Thursday 5 October 2006 Tuesday 10 October 2006 Thursday 12 October 2006 b.University of Oxford Short Course in Further Practical Statistics This course is designed for health care professionals or graduate students who already have some research experience and an understanding of basic statistical principles, and who wish to develop their statistical expertise. They will emphasise the practical application of statistical methods to real-life problems, rather than statistical theory, although an understanding of the basic concepts will be expected. The sessions will include time for students to explore and analyse data using a statistical package (the main package used will be Stata ).
