Cochrane Style Resource

Welcome to the Cochrane Style Resource

The Cochrane Style Resource includes the Cochrane Style Guide (for authors and editors), Cochrane Style Basics (for authors), information about the Copy Edit Support and the Cochrane Style Guide Working Group, and resources used at relevant workshops.

Cochrane Style Guide: 4th Edition [beta] released in May 2008. The beta version will be available on the internet for three to six months. The Cochrane Style Guide Working Group will then prepare a ‘final version’ later this year based on users’ experience with Review Manager 5 and other feedback received within this time.

Cochrane Style Basics: to be updated to coincide with the 4th Edition [beta] of the Cochrane Style Guide.

Workshop resources: copies of the workshop materials and posters presented at Cochrane meetings.

Copy Edit Support: Need help with copy editing? Copy Edit Support is a central resource provided by Wiley to help editorial staff at review groups to achieve a high standard of copy editing in all their reviews. We accept reviews, protocols, and updates in html format. Documents are copy edited by a team of freelances and returned in Microsoft Word format with tracked changes.

Cochrane Style Guide Working Group: details about the Group that is responsible for the Cochrane Style Guide and this resource

Feedback: E-mail your comments or suggestions for changes to Harriet G MacLehose, Co-convenor of the Cochrane Style Guide Working Group.

Funding: The core funds of The Cochrane Collaboration are funding the Cochrane Style Guide Working Group.

Past projects: information about various copy-editing projects supported by The Cochrane Collaboration; these have led to the development of the current website and resources.
