First aid training for laypeople

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:

Main objective

To assess the effects of first aid training for laypeople, compared to no training or other training on: (1) the helping behaviour of the persons providing first aid, (2) the quality of the first aid provided, and (3) the health outcomes of the people receiving first aid.

Secondary objectives

To assess the effects of first aid training for laypeople on first aid-related knowledge, skills, self-efficacy, willingness to help, and adverse effects.

This is a protocol.
