Acne is the most common skin disease of adolescence, and although it clears spontaneously in most cases, it persists into adulthood for some people. An updated Cochrane Review in August 2012 examines one of the drugs used to treat it, minocycline. The lead author, Sarah Garner from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence in the UK, describes the background and the latest findings.
