Interventions to prevent surgical site infection in adults undergoing cardiac surgery

Primary objective
  • To assess the clinical effectiveness of pre-, intra-, and postoperative interventions in the prevention of cardiac SSI.
Secondary objectives
  • To evaluate the effects of SSI prevention interventions on morbidity, mortality, and resource use.
  • To evaluate the effects of SSI prevention care bundles on morbidity, mortality, and resource use.
